About a week after scoring free tickets to Le Reve, Josh's buddy Mike and his super cute girlfriend Chris came to town. We convinced them to join is for a night out in the town and whatdayaknow, it turned out to be a pretty fun night!

We met at the Wynn to watch Le Reve. It was breathtaking, beautiful, jaw-dropping and exhilarating all at once!

We stuck around after the show and tried capturing pictures of the amazing set:

So in LOVE

I have found a new pleasure these last few weeks, pleasures actually. They're called The Mortal Instruments.

Yes, I know....it's a young adult teenage fiction series BUT I am still a young adult and I love fiction and who doesn't like vampires, werewolves, faeries, demons and of course, forbidden love?

Let's just say it's a fun escape from my boring accounting and purchasing studies :)

Under the sun

A few weeks ago Josh and I were taking a stroll across campus while the sun was setting. The sun was shinning perfectly on his face and I couldn't help but notice how beautiful his eyes are.

Sometimes they're green, sometimes they're a light blue and I can't help but hope that somehow someway our little munchkins will have my dark hair and honey tan skin and his blue, greenish light eyes. Oh, the possibilities!

Spoiler alert!

Well, sort of. I finished reading a book last night that I initially had to force myself to read. When I was to about chapter 5 I couldn't put the darn book down. There was action and suspense and most importantly forbiden love. Just as I thought things were going to start getting juicy I was completely and 100% let down by the lousy ending. The couple who throughout the book didn't know it but were slowly falling in love turn out to be....................brother and sister!!! EWW!

Apparently there's an amazing comeback to this horrible ending because this book is the first of three and I hear the fourth book of the series is coming out soon.

So maybe, just maybe, I'll give the second book a chance.

What a good way to end the day

I started getting stomach cramps yesterday during class. It was around 5:00pm and I tried thinking back on what I had eaten earlier in the day to cause my upset stomach and I realized I had only had a yogurt that morning. It's only the second week of school and my body is already telling me to slow down. So as I was walking to my car this evening feeling crabby because my stomach pain was getting worse I looked up and guess what I saw?

The most beautiful sunset.

So then as I was driving past the airport on my way home stuck in traffic and my stomach pain getting worse I decided to call the radio station announcing free tickets to something. I called expecting to be greeted by a busy line and to my surprise I heard, "Hello? Who is this? You are caller 29!"

Aha! Needless to say my tummy felt instantly better for the time being and I was so excited to hear myself on the radio!

Turns out I won two tickets to Le Reve. Yay!

We started the Insanity workout this month. It's a 60 day workout of CRAZINESS! Maybe after we're done I can convince myself to start running again.

Probably not though, haha.

2011 in Pictures

Now I understand why old people say that time flies. It seems like time time goes by faster the older I get. This is why I have a new found love for my camera. It's so much easier to tell a story with a picture. So here it goes, our year in pictures:

In 2011 I found I really, really.......really like baking:

The girls and I crafted once a month:

My 4th of July wreath took 9 hours to complete. I stayed up ALL NIGHT LONG July 3rd to finish it but it was so worth it.

And my lima bean wreath took a few hours a month for 8 months to complete but it was also so worth it. I simply love it.

My honey and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary for one week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Our condo was gorgeous and the view breathtaking.

On our anniversary we had dinner at El Panorama, a restaurant high in the hills that overlooks the entire city of Puerto Vallarta.

I got to see Elizabeth Taylor's house that she lived in while filming movies down there.

We even met up with our friends Kyle and Lindsey who were celebrating their honeymoon:

And we of course had delicious sidewalk stand food:

My brother and sister in law Tia were married:

Ella was an angel through the whole ceremony:

Josh fell even more in love with golf and I joined him a few times because driving the golf cart is so much fun!

For his birthday I bought him spongebob squarepants golf balls that glew in the dark so we went to mini golf!

We had fun at the Stratosphere Hotel roller coasters:

I got my first ever kiss in the rain:

And we visited the exotic fish at The Caesars Palace:

I fell in love with Human Nature, the Australian boy band that now sings Mo Town music. Their concert at The Imperial Palace was great, I can't believe how much I liked it. I keep wanting to go back and get front row seats :)

We were part of Team Tingey and played two soccer games against Harris Law Firm during the summer. We lost both times, so sad. But the games were so much fun!

We got massages during mid-terms week:

We took care of Ella so my brother and sister in law could have date nights:

Josh studied a lot:

I worked a lot:

And Josh got a job in June at the UNLV School of Architecture Library:

I finished my internship and I couldn't be happier. But I do miss my friends Karina & Cathy:

In October we went to Josh's mission reunion and I met his mission president and his wife:

For Halloween we dressed up as Phantom of the Opera:

Disneyland in October was of course, fabulous:

Melissa, my sister in law was married in early December:

And we visited Christmas lights at The Palazzo:

We also made gingerbread houses with friends:

And I made a little manger:

And we took Christmas family pictures:

This Christmas was different because we didn't have my father and mother in law. They moved to Salt Lake City in October so we gathered around the computer Christmas Eve and video chatted with them:

New Years Eve we had my family over for dinner and played card games until midnight. It was so fun and relaxing.

Ella also learned to walk this year:

And our flully pup was a lovable dog, like always:

We sure look forward to another great year!
